Westfield London – Sports Day
At the Shepherd’s Bush branch of Westfield London, there will be an action-packed day of fitness activities on Saturday 24 August, catering for all ages and abilities.
Activities could include yoga, HIIT classes and dance, as well as a GoodGym mission run and an organised walk – there really will be something for everyone. Don’t miss out on this exciting activity on The Nation’s Biggest Sports Day – get involved now!
Beacon of Light, Sunderland – Family Sports Festival
Join Team GB athletes at the Beacon of Light, Sunderland on 24 August. A brand-new community sports and education facility next to the Stadium of Light, Jemma and the team are excited to be hosting one of the biggest I Am Team GB community events in the country. So join in on Saturday 24 August to take part in lots of different sports and activities alongside the nation's Team GB heroes. From football to netball, boccia to table tennis and dance, the Beacon will be bursting with activities for all the family. There’ll even be healthy cooking classes so you can eat like an athlete!
National Badminton Centre, Milton Keynes – badminton sessions for all ages
Alex and the team at Badminton England are delighted to be hosting a number of activities on The Nation’s Biggest Sports Day to introduce badminton to all the family! Taking place at the home of badminton in Milton Keynes on Saturday 24 August, this is your opportunity to experience the sport on the courts where England train, whether you’re a regular player or have never picked up a racquet before. Everyone is catered for, with opportunities for all ages – there’s even a glow in the dark UV badminton session! Places are being snapped up quickly, so you’ll have to hurry if you want to join the team – secure your free place today.
GoodGym, Bristol – Transforming Bristol's parks
Join the GoodGym team on Saturday 24 August for the chance to take part in a local community activity. This activity will consist of a group run or walk to Eastville Park and back, working together to spruce up a Victorian swimming pool and transforming a WW2 Nissen hut! The meeting point is at Workout Bristol at 10.30am. You will start with a 4k run/walk to Eastville Park before getting stuck into the tasks, followed by a run/walk back. There is always a back-marker so no one is left behind! Sturdy footwear, weather appropriate clothing and gloves are advised and bin bags will be provided.
