About The Activity

Category: Running, Multi-sport, Sports Day

Taking place on the culmination weekend of I Am Team GB's Festival of Sport presented by Toyota, this event is not to be missed. Register to complete your 1km 'Lap of Honour' around the London Stadium concourse, the focal point of London 2012, and receive your official IATGB t-shirt! After completing your 'Lap of Honour,' you will be able to experience the I Am Team GB event village and try your hand at a number of different activities – whether it be taking part in a class on the main stage, skills testing or even learning to row on dry land, we have activities to suit everyone! Finally, the home of London 2012 wouldn't be complete without the attendance of returning Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games athletes. With Matty Lee (Team GB diver who won synchronised 10m platform gold with Tom Daley in Tokyo), Declan Brooks (Team GB BMX Freestyle Bronze medallist), Shauna Coxsey (GB's most successful competition climber), Grace Reid (Team GB Diver) and Duncan Goodhew (swimming Olympic royalty) joining and more athletes to be announced. This really is a unique day to celebrate our returning Olympians and feel inspired to Get up and Get Active! Please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to your lap start time to sign-in and join the warm-up. This event is open to all and accessible to those with physical impairments or in wheelchairs. Access to the stadium's concourse will be via Bridge 1, which is step-free. The Lap of Honour will take place around the concourse which is hard-standing all the way round and suitable for wheelchairs. There will be no time limit to complete your lap. Please note, whilst we will try to make all activites wheelchair friendly, a few of our 'give it a go' activities may not be suitable for those in a wheelchair. If you have any questions on accessibility at this event please contact info@iamteamgb.com. All under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. All under 12s will be issued a wristband on arrival, which must be completed with the responsible adults telephone number.
